Precision Coachworks offers a 3-day automobile interior repair training seminar where you will learn from our expert trainer, the owner of Precision Coachworks, Dean Keith.
SEMINAR SCHEDULE
Day 1:
- Cloth Repair - This will include the proper preparation of the material to be repaired, stain removal, and burn-hole repair. For burn-hole repairs, a hot-repair technique will be taught, using all water-base products. (This is a Precision Coachworks exclusive technique.) Trainees will also learn to use the Electro Static Gun, color pencils, color pens and color matching techniques.
- Carpet Repair - This will include repairing carpet damage, carpet dyeing, stain removal and heel pad installation.
- Plastic Repair - This will include repair of cracks, holes, and scratches using multiple types of catalyzed compounds and spray grains. Then trainees will learn to refinish the repairs using state of the art color coats.
Day 2:
- Vinyl Repair - They will learn to use heat-cured compounds, air-dry compounds, graining pads and spray grains. Trainees will also learn to color-match and refinish vinyl using different state of the art color coats.
Day 3:
- Leather Repair - This will include preparation of the leather using Ph-balanced products. The trainees will then learn to repair the leather using heat-cured and air-dry compounds, as well as heat and spray grain to ensure proper grain. Trainees will also learn to refinish the repair using state of the art color coats and color-matching techniques.
SEMINAR DETAILS
- The Precision Coachworks trainer has more than 48 years of hands-on experience. Precision Coachworks has never used outside vendors as trainers.
- Training day hours are 9 to 5 with 1 hour for lunch. Precision Coachworks will provide lunch and drinks. Some days may run longer and snacks will be provided if needed.
- Precision Coachworks will supply its own products, tools, and materials needed for the training seminar
- Consumables can be re-ordered through Precision Coachworks.
